Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
ProjectOps is project-management software for contractors. This policy describes what information we collect, why, and what we do — and deliberately do not do — with it. The short version: your data exists so you can run your company, we don’t sell it, we don’t feed it to third-party AI, and you can export or delete it.
What we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, company name, and a hashed password when you create an account. We never store passwords in plain text.
Your business records. The content you put into the product to run your company: projects, clients, estimates, purchase orders, change orders, invoices, daily reports, photos, and uploaded files. This data belongs to you.
Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we store only your Stripe customer reference and subscription status.
Operational logs. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, requests) and an in-product audit trail of changes, kept for security, debugging, and support.
What we do with it
We use your information to operate the service, respond to support requests, send transactional email (verification, password resets, billing notices), and — if you signed up for a trial — occasional onboarding email. That’s it.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not send your data to third-party AI services. Features like receipt OCR run on our own infrastructure.
- We do not use your business records for advertising.
- Employees access customer data only for support you requested or to investigate a fault, and access is logged.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored in our own managed database and file storage, encrypted in transit via TLS. Each company’s data is isolated per tenant, and that isolation is covered by automated tests. Databases and files are backed up nightly.
Your data is portable
You can export your complete dataset — every record as JSON or CSV plus every uploaded file — from Settings at any time. If your subscription lapses, your account becomes read-only but nothing is deleted; you can still sign in and export.
Deletion
Ask us to delete your organization and we will permanently remove all of its records, files, and user accounts. Backups age out on their normal rotation afterward.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a preference cookie for things like dark mode. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially we will note it in the product. Questions or requests — including export or deletion — can be sent through the contact form on the front page, and go directly to the founder.
